Follow Along with the Message

Peter was brave enough to follow the mob that arrested Jesus, but he was too afraid to identify himself as a companion of Jesus. When examining Peter’s life, we find a few footprints on the road of denial.

The footprint of…

1. Disagreeing with God’s Word

Peter heard God’s plan straight from the mouth of God’s Son, Jesus, but he thought he knew better. He said, “No more talk about dying!”

The footprint of…

2. Determining You are Better than Others

Pride is an attitude that causes you to think you are incapable of sin.

Peter’s pride finds him sitting by the fire with those who were hostile toward Jesus and anyone associated with Jesus.

Notice the progression of Psalm 1:1, “Blessed is the one who does not WALK in step with the wicked or STAND in the way that sinners take or SIT in the company of mockers...”

To leave the road of denial find the footprint of…

3. Deliverance and Restoration

“Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” (2 Corinthians 7:10)

The road to Easter will lead you to repentance.
