Paul wasn’t calling believers to look around at Roman soldiers and take inspiration from their armor; rather he was calling them to look to the prophet Isaiah’s presentation of our warrior King.

A quote attributed to George Orwell says, “During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.”

The belt of truth ties us to the truth of the gospel.
