Excuses make today easy, but tomorrow hard.

Like the three friends in the parable, each of us has the opportunity to receive or reject his invitation.

  1. What Do You Treasure Most in Life?

Our culture has refined the art of making excuses.

Matthew 6:19–21, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

  1. What Do You Value Most in Life?

Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote the book The Cost of Discipleship where he said, “when Christ calls a man, He bids him come and die.”

Do you value your possessions more than a relationship with Christ?

  1. What Do You Cherish Most in Life?

The very best family outing is to consistently take your family to worship.

Romans 1:20 says, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”

When the master learned the guests refused to come he was insulted and angry! But he didn’t cancel the party; He just expanded his invitation to include everyone.

Will you receive or reject His invitation?
