75% of Scripture is story.

When He decides to help you, He does so by showing you what is possible in someone else.

Rahab is a tough lady.  God saved her.  Israel celebrated her.

---Spy Story

     Use your mind.  Military intelligence

---Storm Story

"A man who remains stiff-necked after much rebuke will suddenly be destroyed and that without remedy."--Proverbs 29:1

"I do not believe in fate that falls on men however they act; I do believe in a fate that falls on men unless they act."--G. K. Chesterton

"It is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give relief to you who have been afflicted. . .when the Lord Jesus Christ will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ."--2 Thessalonians 1:6-8

--Salvation Story

"Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders.  Make the most of every opportunity. . .so that you may know how to answer everyone."--Colossians 4:5-6

     Ethiopian Eunuch--Acts 8.   Cornelius the Roman Centurion--Acts 10,   Thief on the Cross--Luke 23.

--Love Story

"Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, 'Go into the harlot's house and bring the woman and all she has out of there, as you have sworn to her.'  So the young men who were spies went in and brought out Rahab and her father and her mother and her brothers and all she had; they also brought out all her relatives and placed them outside the camp."--Joshua 6:22-23

Salmon and Rahab, Boaz and Ruth, Obed, Jesse, DAVID. . . JESUS.  The blood line of faith.

"I come from a long line of strong women, and strong men."  We ALL do.

"In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?  For just as the body without the Spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead."--James 2:25-26

She was a prostitute, but at least she was not paralyzed in fear.  She acted!  In faith!

Great story!
