God’s intentional act of rest on the seventh day anticipates the Sabbath law, which will be officially instituted, or “set in stone,” later at Mount Sinai.

Jesus said in Mark 2:27, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.” But we must be purposeful about making room for rest in the New Year.

The Sabbath day of rest should be more focused and deliberate than other times of rest and relaxation.

 

 

Remembering the Sabbath and making room in your life for rest is learning to avoid…
