A Personal Trainer knows what we need.  Diet.  Exercise.  Self-esteem.  The Psychology of Hope.  Discipline. . .

The Bible says that GOD knows what we need (Matthew 6:8). "Whom He foreknew. . ."(Romans 8:29).  "I know the plans I have for you. . ."(Jeremiah 29:11).

HE   WHAT I NEED.

HE   TO HELP.

     "Lord, if you are willing, You can make me clean" (Luke 5:12).  "I am willing, be cleansed" (v. 13).

Grace (charis--gift, or help, or assistance).

--HIS OFFER

     "He will exalt you" (v. 10).  He will lift you up.

     "I waited patiently for the Lord.  He inclined His ear to me and heard my cry.  He brought me out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay.  He set my feet on a rock, making my footsteps firm" (Psalm 40:1-2).

--OUR NEED--Inner Frustration (v. 1-2).

--OUR NEED--Prayerlessness (v. 2).

--OUR NEED--Worldliness (v. 3-5).

--GREATER GRACE (v. 6).

--HIS TERMS (v. 7-10).

     Submit!

     Resist!

     Draw Near to God!

     Cleanse Your Hands!

     Purify Your Hearts!

     Be Miserable!

     Humble Yourself!
