The first thing the Savior taught us to pray.  Hallowed be Thy NAME.

A world of reverence and respect for God.  God's NAME a governor over our actions.

"Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus" (Colossians 3:17).

Carefully He guides us to this place.

Commandment 1--Worship HIM (not the gods of the nations)

Commandment 2--Worship BIG HIM (not the gods of our imagination)

Commandment 3--His NAME is to govern and guide all of life

--PROMISES

     NAME of God

          Hallowed be Thy NAME--Matthew 6:9

Where two or three are gathered TOGETHER in My NAME--Matthew 18:20

For humans, name stands for ______________________________________

For God, name stands for _________________________________________

     TAKE the Name of God

"You shall fear only the Lord your God and you shall worship Him and swear by His name"(Deuteronomy 6:13).

Do not take His Name in VAIN (empty).

Marriage vows, promises to raise our children for Christ, baptism, pledge of allegiance

          "You promised"

"You have heard that the ancients were told, 'You shall not make false vows, but shall fulfill your vows to the Lord.'  But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great king.  Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.  But let your statement be, 'Yes, YES' or 'No, NO'; anything beyond these is evil"  (Matthew 5:33-37).

The Devil is a liar.  We are not liars.  John 8:44

--PROFANITY

--PROFESSION

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21).
