Guest Speaker Dr. Hal Habecker - Do You Love Your Work?

Welcome to Hunters Glen. As my family is away for a few days, it’s a joy to welcome Dr. Hal Habecker as he preaches in today’s worship services. Hal is the founder of Finishing Well Ministries. Finishing Well Ministries develops strategic partnerships with churches, parachurch ministries, and institutions for the purpose of mobilizing senior adults for the kingdom of God and the local church. Hal has given this exciting chapter of his life to maximizing the spiritual impact of a senior generation of men and women as disciples for the Kingdom of God and their service in the local church.

Prior to founding Finishing Well Ministries, Hal served for more than 20 years as Senior Pastor of Dallas Bible Church. He is a graduate of Taylor University (BA), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th. M.), and Denver Seminary (D. Min.). He and Vicki have been members of Hunters Glen since January of 2017. They have been married for 41 years and are the parents of 3 adult children and the very proud grandparents of 6 grandchildren. Vicki sings in our Worship Choir and Hal recently started teaching a multi-generational Lifegroup here at HGBC.

I look forward to being back in the pulpit next Sunday as we continue our Back to the Basics series. As part of our worship service we will hear a testimony from one of our dynamic international pastors, Immanuel Thomas. He is lead pastor of Crosspointe Indian Church. Each week Hunters Glen supports the work of 5 international churches. I look forward to you hearing about one of these thriving congregations.
