Jesus often said “O you of little faith” – Jesus wants to grow our faith

Lessons of faith

  • God has unexpected surprises for us – things we never could have dreamt

“God’s best gifts put man’s best dreams to shame” – Elizabeth Barrett Browning

  • Faith opens your eyes to whole new worlds – faith leads you to go where you’ve never been

  • Faith opens your eyes to relationships you never could have imagined

  • God desires to grow our faith as faith inevitably leads to trials, testing, and struggles – those struggles strengthen our faith in God

  • Abraham – Genesis 15.5 – Abraham believed God, and He reckoned it to him as righteousness (3x in Scripture Abraham was called the “friend of God”)

  • Faith will bless others – beginning with your family

  • Faith will lead you to discover your greatest joy is in knowing and loving Him

You will make known to me the path of life;

In Your presence is fullness of joy;

In Your right hand there are pleasures forever (Psalm 16.11).

"You are My friends if you do what I command you.  No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you (John 15.14,15).

How we pray is a witness of our faith

  • Luke 18.1 – Pray – v.8 – “will He find faith on the earth”
  • Pray the Word
  • Pray for a greater hearing of the Word – for embracing the Word – for obeying the Word – the Word is Christ

“For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29.1-13).

Will you follow Him? Will you trust Him? Will you live by faith? Above all else, will you love Him and live your life for Him?
