Dear Church Family,
It is with great excitement that I seek the Lord with you about the opportunity of me serving in the role of Worship Pastor at Hunters Glen Baptist Church. If the HGBC family is anything like your staff and search team, I know it is an incredible body of believers. Allow me to introduce myself and share a little about the journey God has taken me on.
I became a Christian at the age of 8 and sensed God’s call to ministry as a freshman in college. This calling led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in Christian Studies from Howard Payne University and a Master’s in Worship Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. Over the past 20 years, I’ve been privileged to serve as a licensed and ordained minister, leading worship in traditional, blended, and contemporary settings. These experiences have included directing choirs, orchestras, vocal teams, and worship bands—all with the goal of glorifying God and equipping others to lead His people in worship.
Ministry is deeply rooted in my family’s legacy. I am the son of a Baptist Music Minister, the grandson of a Baptist Pastor, and the great-grandson of Baptist Evangelists. This heritage, coupled with my passion for worship, drives my philosophy that true worship is offering our lives as living sacrifices to God, as described in Romans 12:1.
I am blessed to be celebrating 15 wonderful years of marriage with my wife, Courtney. She has a beautiful heart for worship and sings in the choir and vocal teams. Together, we have two daughters, Olivia (6th grade) and Evelyn (3rd grade), who bring so much joy and laughter into our lives.
As we join you in prayerfully seeking God’s will, I am eager to serve, connect, and grow with each of you. My prayer is that, together, we will bring honor to God through heartfelt worship and lives lived for His glory.
Blessings,
Bo Faulkner
