    Jeremiah is young, insecure, and inarticulate but it seems that God prefers his divine power be displayed through the finitude and frailty of an imperfect human vessel.

    God doesn’t respond to our fears of inadequacy with reassurances of our strength but with a reminder of his.

     

     

    Trusting the Call Requires…

    There is no better solution to our fear of humans than an appropriate fear of God.

    The condition of God’s promise was Jeremiah had to go where God sent him and say what God told him say. He also had to believe God’s promise and prove it by not fearing the outcome.

     

     

    Trusting the Call Requires a Continual...

    We must learn to submit and continually recommit to God’s plans for our lives and for the people he calls us to reach.

    Matthew 16, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, (continually), and follow me.”
